Health Care Assistants recruited by the Ministry of Health and Quality of Life will follow a one-year training programme according to a new curriculum designed by the MIH and accredited by the MQA.
Training for successive batches will be scheduled to start at intervals of about 8 weeks. It is projected to start with the first batch in February 2017. Training of all the 215 will be completed before end of 2018.
Besides other modules related to the work of the HCA, they will receive one week training in basic Information Technology at the MIH, in batches of 40.
